Brian Tillotson
Co-Founder and Wealth Manager

Brian Tillotson is an investment professional with more than 22 years experience in financial management. After graduating from The University of North Texas with a B.B.A. in Finance, he went to work for MBank, which was soon acquired by Bank One. Before leaving Bank One, Brian was the Asset and Liability Manager for Texas. Brian left Bank One to help raise equity for several telecommunication companies. In those roles, he had many responsibilities including mergers and acquisitions, securing bank debt, raising equity through secondary IPOs, and managing investments. Brian managed over $300 million investments during this period. He also served on two different 401(k) committees, consulting firms on investment selection, structuring, and risk management.

Brian started Virtus Wealth Management in 2001 to help people reach their financial goals. Since 2001, Brian and Virtus Wealth Management have served their clients with innovative and sound practical financial strategies with a priority placed on client services.

Brian has been married for 22 years to his wife, Amy, and they have three children: Prestyn, 15; Dylan, 12; and Laney, 4. 

Amy Tillotson
Co-Founder and Marketing Director

Amy Tillotson co-founded Virtus Wealth Management with her husband, Brian. She currently serves as the company’s vice president, overseeing marketing, special events and property management functions.

Amy began her career 20 years ago in real estate. Her career included positions with BGI Commercial Real Estate, The Vantage Companies, Bradford Real Estate and Swearingen Real Estate in roles ranging from property management to supporting commercial agents. Upon becoming a first time mother, Amy decided to leave the corporate world to raise her children: Prestyn, 15; Dylan, 12; and Laney, 4. 

Karen Spence
Wealth Manager

Karen Spence joined Virtus Wealth Management in October, 2006. She holds a B.B.A. in Accounting and Computer Information Systems from the University of Arkansas where she was also a collegiate swimmer. Karen began her career in information technology and worked for Sprint for 14 years. Karen obtained her insurance license in March, 2007 and became a licensed Registered Representative in 2008.   

Karen is married to Tip, her high school sweetheart, and is the proud mother of three boys: Will, 10; Sam, 8; and Ben, 7.

Jackie Dixon
Service Assistant

Jackie Dixon has just joined our team as Service Assistant.  She comes from an Education and Customer Service background.  Jackie graduated from Tarleton State University with a BBA in Marketing and worked for Fidelity Investments, State Farm, and Blue Cross Blue Shield New Mexico in customer service and training.  She took time off from corporate America to raise her children, however, could not sit still so she substitute taught at her children’s school and taught in her Church’s Mother’s Day Out Program.  For Jackie, teaching was like customer service because you are helping someone to understand something new or better!

Brian Tillotson is a Registered Representative with VSR Financial Services, Inc., an FINRA Registered Broker-Dealer. While VSR Financial Services, Inc. is registered to sell securities products in all 50 United States and the District of Columbia, Brian Tillotson is currently registered to sell securities products in Texas, Florida, California, Maryland, Missouri, and Alabama.
